You will one day become an amazing psychologist for children with chronic illness, I have no doubt.<br /><br />Ten years ago I had severe IBD. I almost died from it. For the past 6 years I have been in remission, the docs can not find any signs of inflammation in my gut at all. It can happen.<br /><br />I think that one thing that really helped me was empowering myself to be much more than a medical diagnosis. What worked for me may not work for everyone. I truly believe we all have our own healing journeys. But I do think you are onto something really important.
